Living in a big city is not easy.

In the past years we’ve been told that this is not true.

It has been told us since we were kids that cities have all we need to live a proper life, with convenient habits, with supermarket and shop (to fill our void).

Reality is that in cities we’re living a severe degradation of life quality, and our surrounding is changing.

I’m writing this words after spending almost the whole night sleepless due to the noise from the workers redoing the road, because they cannot work during daytime because of the incredible heat we’re experiencing in these days in Rome.

We’re definitively struggling and it feels we’ve lost a bit our path.

Walking around with noise concerts for soundtrack I wander what am I doing here.

Amidst the chaos—which now seems like a dead calm—I am amazed to see plants and flowers. I am amazed because I marvel at their strength and determination. They MUST follow their instincts, and over time, they adopt life strategies that are in harmony with their nature. When they are able to do so, the result is the survival of the entire planet and all the organisms that inhabit it. When they cannot live according to their nature, however, the outcome changes—and definitively so.

This human resistance to peace and beauty has long hindered the work of these superior green beings; to those who witness these changes and all this violence, I say: let us try to find a solution. In the city’s abandoned spaces, it is common to see entire surfaces covered in ivy or other climbing plants—a tangle of leaves, flowers, and countless insects and small mammals.
